50 Years of University Motors

John Twist opened his University Motors MG repair shop in Grand Rapids on January 25, 1975. The rest is history!

You’re invited to the University Motors 50th Birthday Party on Saturday, January 25, 2025.

The Birthday Party is from 1:00-5:00 pm in our usual spot, the Wolverine Room at the DoubleTree Hotel on 28th Street in Grand Rapids, MI.

We’ll have chili in honor of John’s late wife Caroline Robinson, birthday cake from a local bakery, and a cash bar. We’ll also hold a 50/50 raffle to benefit the MG Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of Michigan. While it’s cold outside, we’ll enjoy the warmth of MG friends and fellowship.

Suggested donation is $10 per attendee to cover event expenses. Donations can be made via PayPal/credit card or at the door with cash or check.

Additional donations will go toward preserving and promoting John Twist’s MG legacy and are greatly appreciated.
